Terms of Service

The BRR 5K Series is a race entry and results platform for Bridlington Road Runners' annual Club 5K Series. The Service allows club members to register, enter races, submit time predictions, view results, and track series standings.

Results are scored using age-graded performance and prediction accuracy. We reserve the right to refuse service or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Ensuring the information you provide is accurate

Runners under 13 years of age must have a parent or guardian register on their behalf. The registering adult confirms they have parental responsibility and consent to the data processing described in our Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

By entering a race through the Service, you acknowledge that:

• Your name, finish time, age category, age-graded performance, and prediction accuracy will be published on the website
• Series standings and rankings are calculated automatically and displayed publicly
• Race administrators may record DNS (did not start) or DNF (did not finish) against your entry
• You are responsible for submitting accurate time predictions

Guest runners (those without an account) may be entered by race administrators. Their name and results will also appear publicly.

Registered users may upload photographs taken at races. By uploading photos, you confirm that you have the right to share them and that the content is appropriate.

Photos may include other participants. If you appear in a photo and would like it removed, contact us at [email protected] and we will remove it promptly.

We reserve the right to remove any uploaded content without notice.

You agree not to:

• Share your account with others or allow unauthorised access
• Attempt to access other users' data or accounts
• Upload inappropriate, offensive, or unlawful content
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the Service beyond normal use
• Interfere with the operation of the Service or its infrastructure

We strive to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. This website manages race entries and results only — it does not constitute medical or fitness advice, and participation in any race is at your own risk.

You may request closure of your account at any time from your profile settings. Upon closure, your personal data will be removed as described in our Privacy Policy.

We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these Terms or for any other reason at our reasonable discretion, with notice where practicable.
